The Day Centre
The centre of our community
For the enjoyment of everybody, the Day Centre provides an opportunity to meet old friends, make new acquaintances, enjoy home cooking and take part in activities.
The Day Centre is an integral part of the unique, newly rebuilt Almshouse development, situated in the beautiful market town of Woodbridge.
For those who enjoy social pastimes and being busy, it provides the perfect day out from your home to enjoy lively conversation, good company and a wide range of activities and events which include: baking gardening, poetry and play reading, art, crafts, flower arranging, quizzes, musical afternoons or any activity of your choice that we can provide.
Day outings are also hugely enjoyed on board our own wheelchair friendly minibus. They can include visits to places of historic interest, river trips, mystery tours or simply fish and chips by the seaside.
The light, modern and spacious building combines dining and sitting areas, activity rooms, library, hairdresser, shop, garden, barbecue patio and a bathing area with whirlpool bath.
There are 25 places available each day and you are welcome to join us as often as you like. The cost includes a two-course home cooked lunch and most dietary requests can be catered for.
The centre can also be booked for private functions between 4.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. most days.
Our team of supportive and dedicated staff are intent on making every visit special.
Referral is through Social Services either directly or via your GP, or by private arrangements with the Seckford Foundation.
The Day Centre is there for everyone to enjoy and offers a free trial day for you to try it for yourself. Our Day Centre Manager will be happy to visit you at home to discuss your care needs before you join us.
The Day Centre is open (including Bank Holidays) Monday to Friday 9.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. (staffed 9-5). Please call us if you would like to know more.
