Who we are
The Seckford Foundation is one of Suffolk’s oldest charities, endowed by Thomas Seckford in 1587, with the mission to promote the education of the young and the care of older people in and around Woodbridge. The Foundation owns and operates two significant and long standing institutions in the town, Seckford Care and Woodbridge School as well as the Seckford Theatre.

Seckford Care
The hub of our work with and for older people is with Seckford Care. Based at the Almshouses we offer sheltered, extra care apartments and residential accommodation and day care services enabling older people to lead safe, independent and fulfilling lives.

Woodbridge School
Young people and education have been in our DNA for more than 350 years.Today we educate some 750 students aged from 4-18 through Woodbridge School from across the globe. Instilling the values from Thomas Seckford into the leaders of tomorrow.

Seckford Theatre
Situated in the grounds of Woodbridge School, the Seckford Theatre is a professional theatre which can seat 350 people in any manner of arrangement thanks to its versatile staging and seating configurations. A broad range of entertainment with a fully licensed bar is available to the community.
