Mark Barrow
CEO Seckford Education Trust
On joining Seckford Education Trust (SET) in 2017 as Headteacher of SET Ixworth School, Mark brought a wealth of leadership experience to the Trust. Our school in Ixworth went from from strength to strength during his headship, seeing the School awarded a GOOD Ofsted report in September 2019 and then subsequently becoming over-subscribed.
In 2020 Mark was appointed to the role of Executive Headteacher across all of the SET Schools and subsequently appointed Chief Executive Officer of Seckford Education Trust.
A politics graduate from the University of Bristol, Mark began his career teaching politics, critical thinking, French and German. His previous school leadership roles include Acting Head of Haileybury Turnford School in Hertfordshire and Deputy Headteacher at King Edward VI Grammar School in Chelmsford. He has also been a governor of an 11-18 secondary school. Having recently completed his Masters in Education, Mark became a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teachers and is interested in educational research.
