How you can help

DONATIONS, VOLUNTEERING & SUPPORT
Originally founded with a gift from a prominent Elizabethan lawyer, Thomas Seckford, the Foundation is committed to

  • Enabling elderly people to lead safe, secure, independent and fulfilling lives and caring for them when in need
  • Helping younger people to achieve their potential and to lead financially independent and productive lives
  • Strengthening the communities in which those we support live, ensuring no-one suffers through rural isolation

Although proud of our history we do not live in the past; on the contrary the trustees regularly revisit our aims and aspirations to make sure they remain relevant and achieve maximum impact in the 21st century.

Seckford Care

The hub of our work with and for older people is based at the Seckford Almshouses where we offer sheltered, very sheltered, residential accommodation and day care services enabling older people to lead safe, secure, independent and fulfilling lives.

Woodbridge School

Young people and education have been in our DNA for more than 350 years. Today we educate some 850 pupils aged from 4 to 18 through Woodbridge School.

Education Trust

Responding to the pleas of help from the communities of Beccles, Ixworth and Saxmundham to provide educational opportunity and choice for its young people, we established three publicly funded Free Schools cater for 11-16 year olds. Following the success of our Schools, in July 2019 we welcome two schools in Felixstowe to the Trust; Maidstone Infants and Causton Juniors.

Springboard

We support and help young people under 25 in the local communities in which we operate through our Springboard initiative.

Seckford Theatre

Situated in the grounds of Woodbridge School, the Seckford Theatre is a professional theatre that can seat 350 in any manner of arrangement thanks to its versatile staging and seating configurations.
